HIV 1/2 Test

The HIV 1/2 cassette test requires a sample of serun, derived from blood

with the use of a centrifuge.Results are obtained within 30 minutes of sample

collection.

The HIV 1/2 Test is for the main 2 forms of HIV, Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 is the most common form

of the pathogen and more likely to lead to Aids, where as Type 2 is less virulent / transmissable than

Type 1 but can also lead to Aids.
